Architectural Narrative

Perched gently along the contours of the hillside, the house is envisioned as a small contemporary retreat that embraces simplicity, landscape, and quiet living. Rather than dominating its surroundings, the architecture settles naturally into the terrain, allowing the slope of the hill to guide the composition of the built form. The design adopts a restrained vocabulary of clean lines, soft volumes, and minimal material transitions, creating a calm and welcoming holiday home that feels both intimate and open to nature.

The massing is intentionally broken into simple layered volumes, stepping subtly along the gradient of the site. This approach reduces the visual scale of the structure while strengthening its relationship with the landscape. Large openings and carefully framed windows allow interior spaces to capture expansive views of the surrounding greenery and sky, blurring the boundary between inside and outside.

Materiality follows the same philosophy of quiet elegance. Warm plastered surfaces, natural stone accents, and soft earthy tones echo the colors of the hillside, grounding the building within its environment. The sloping roofs and shaded terraces create comfortable transitional spaces where occupants can enjoy the changing light and breeze throughout the day.

At its core, the house is designed as a place of pause and retreat—a minimal yet thoughtful architecture where form, landscape, and lifestyle come together to create a peaceful holiday sanctuary above the terrain.
