The architectural concept of the residence reinterprets the idea of modern domestic architecture by challenging the conventional hierarchy of facade composition and spatial organization. Traditionally, residential buildings often concealed their functional cores—staircases, circulation shafts, and service elements—within the interior fabric of the structure. In contrast, this design deliberately celebrates the core as a visible architectural element, transforming it into a defining feature of the elevation.

Positioned prominently along the side of the building, the vertical core becomes the spatial spine of the house, expressed externally as a tall sculptural volume. Its slender proportions and continuous vertical glazing emphasize movement and circulation, revealing the internal life of the house while introducing a strong vertical rhythm to the otherwise horizontal massing of the structure.

Materiality plays a critical role in articulating this idea. The core is wrapped in warm brick masonry, grounding the building in a sense of permanence and tactile richness, while the surrounding volumes are rendered in softer stone and plaster finishes. This contrast between materials reinforces the distinction between the primary structural spine and the lighter living spaces that unfold around it.

The sloping terracotta roofs introduce a subtle reference to traditional architecture, bridging past and present through a contemporary lens.

Through the deliberate exposure of the building's core and the thoughtful interplay of solid mass, transparency, and material contrast, the residence challenges conventional facade logic, transforming a functional necessity into a powerful architectural statement.
