Architectural Narrative

The design of this residence is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of classical architecture, where timeless proportions and monumental composition are reimagined through modern materials and spatial openness. The house is envisioned as a palatial urban residence, where architecture expresses grandeur, symmetry, and refined detailing while maintaining the clarity and simplicity of modern design.

At the heart of the concept lies the idea of monumental massing and axial balance. The building is organized around a strong central axis that defines both the spatial organization and the visual identity of the facade. This central vertical element anchors the composition, rising through the height of the structure and framing the dramatic entrance portal. Flanking volumes extend symmetrically on either side, establishing a sense of equilibrium and architectural order. The deliberate layering of these volumes creates depth and hierarchy, allowing the residence to feel both powerful and sculptural in its urban setting.

The massing of the house is intentionally bold. Large architectural frames, deep balcony recesses, and strong horizontal bands articulate the different levels of the residence. Rather than appearing as stacked floors, the building reads as a single monumental form, carefully proportioned to evoke the scale and dignity associated with classical palaces. This approach transforms the residence into a structure that commands presence along the street while maintaining a refined architectural elegance.

A defining feature of the design is the double-height entrance portal, which acts as the focal point of the facade. Framed by a grand classical arch, the entrance rises through two levels of the building, creating a dramatic moment of arrival. Behind the arch, a tall glass opening spans the height of the portal, allowing natural light to flood the interior and visually connecting the exterior architecture with the internal spatial experience. This double-height gesture reinforces the vertical scale of the residence and establishes an immediate sense of grandeur.
