An Exploration of Abstract Form and Material Contrast

This residence is conceived as an architectural experiment—an exploration of how abstract geometry and sculptural form can redefine the language of contemporary residential design. Rather than following conventional architectural composition, the house challenges the traditional idea of balanced symmetry and predictable proportions. Instead, the design embraces irregular geometry, layered volumes, and bold spatial experimentation, allowing the architecture to emerge as a sculptural object within its urban environment.

At the heart of the concept lies the deliberate use of abstract shapes and disproportionate forms. The massing of the house is not organized through repetitive floors or simple stacked volumes. Instead, the building is composed as a series of interlocking geometries—curved walls, vertical planes, recessed balconies, and projecting volumes—that interact to create a dynamic architectural composition. These elements are intentionally varied in scale and proportion, producing a facade that feels fluid, evolving, and visually engaging.

The architecture resists strict symmetry, choosing instead to celebrate asymmetry and irregularity as a design strategy. Curved forms rise alongside sharp vertical edges, while cantilevered balconies extend outward to create moments of visual tension. The result is a house that appears almost sculpted rather than constructed, where the exterior surfaces bend, fold, and wrap around interior spaces.

Material contrast further amplifies this architectural exploration. The house is defined by a carefully curated palette of stone, wood, glass, and textured surfaces, each chosen to emphasize different aspects of the form. Light-toned stone cladding wraps the larger sculptural volumes, providing a calm and refined surface that highlights the geometry of the architecture.
