OFFICE INTERIOR DESIGNERS IN GURGAON

WHAT IS THE WOODEN HARMONY PROJECT?

Wooden Harmony is a very unique project that we handled where we had a task to design a commercial Interior Design in Gurgaon in the basement that catered to four different companies. While designing one office is usually the scene, here we had to design an interior co-working space that meets the requirement of four firms and at the same time maintains openness as well as privacy in the same space for these companies.

 THE CHALLENGE

The challenges of creating a basement office interior were quite a few. The first that we faced was to make a beautiful basement office space where professionalism is reflected in every aspect and aesthetic of the office space.

Another challenge that came up the front of us was to design the office spaces for four different offices without any visual partition which made us ponder over the seamless Corporate Interior Design that we should adopt.

The last challenge was to meet the vision of the Office Interior Design ideas requirement of four different companies. Each company has its own philosophy by which it functions and wants that to be projected in its interior designs as well.

OUR IDEA

So the first solution we came up with was to transform the entire basement in such a way that it does not look like a suffocated basement. We wanted to make it look like a fully functional and professional Architectural office in Gurgaon where it would be complemented by good lighting, sophisticated office decor, and openings that help in air circulation to beat the suffocation within a basement.

The Interior Design Idea for the office was also to create a co-working environment without creating partition walls. The entire theme of the office was based on the fusion of natural materials, sunlight, and greenery to give a lively feel to the office interior in the basement. The idea behind this office interior was that the employees who work at least 8 hrs in the office should work in a cheerful environment instead of feeling stressed in the basement office.

The site is present in the basement, so the focus was to create a space that doesn’t feel like a basement that is the office should be well-lit with sufficient air circulation. The idea was to create a co-working environment without creating partition walls.

The entire theme of the office was based on the fusion of natural materials, sunlight, and greenery to give a lively feel to the office which is present in the basement.

OUR WORK PROCESS

We designed the space to provide 3 accesses to the building from the ground floor. We opened up the front and rear of the basement and covered it with glass to maximize the amount of light entering the basement. The partitions we selected were made up of wooden frames and fixed glass to provide transparency in the office. The spatial design was to divide the office into 3 zones. The first zone contains a common reception area, conference room, and toilets. The second zone had 2 offices which had 3 executive cabins and a workplace of around 10 -12 people. The third zone had another 2 offices which had their own foyer, 2 executive offices, and a staff area of around 12-15 people. The zones were carefully designed to give access from all sides to all 4 offices.

The wall dividing 2 office zones was designed with a combination of wood and grass abstract, which started from the staff area and continued to the executive’s room to give a feeling of oneness and eliminate the hierarchy that may occur due to the division of cabin spaces.

The abstract was designed carefully by balancing the pinewood and grass. The abstract was placed on the wall where fused sunlight through glass would enhance the texture of pinewood and grass. The partition between the staff offices was created using louvers to mentally separate the place and visually give a look at one big office.

Another interesting element of the design is the ceiling. We designed the ceilings with exposed pipes and ducts. The PVC pipes connecting the light were painted black to provide extra attention to the ceiling. The color scheme chosen for the entire office was black, grey, brown, and beige. Different tones of grey were used on structural elements like ceilings, columns, and beams.

The partition frames were made of wood with black polish to create bold lines between the spaces. Brown color laminates were used on the table with grey color tabletop laminates to blend in the entire theme. The low height beige colored chairs and sofa were selected deliberately to stand out in the entire cabin. The office interior walls were designed to suit the profession with graffiti, models, frames, and stickers with motivational quotes to enhance the spaces.

Hence, with this, we were successful in interior designing and implementing the designs of an office interior in the basement located In Gurgaon that caters to four offices from different professions. We were delighted to climb the ladder of work where we increased our level of work and we continue to take up projects like The Wooden Harmony where we can implement our skills to design a remarkable office interior design.

Apart from the Corporate Interior Design work,  Acad Studio provides a complete range of architectural and Interior design services from inception to completion or a partial service which could be availed in any and every kind of service we impart such as architectural work, construction process, and design.

Another interesting aspect of the project is sustainability, where we used recycled wood to create the partitions instead of aluminum. We also used recycled wood in the abstract feature wall. This helped us save a lot of the cost for the client and even the environment as the wood which would have been scrap has been reused again in the entire project. Since the quantity of wood used has been huge, it made more sense to use recycled wood rather than cutting down more trees. The wood was seasoned for a couple of months to make it lifeless to prevent it from expanding and contraction.
