TATA PRIMANTI

SECTOR-72 GURGAON

This was a great opportunity we received to design a residential place for a Joint family. We found this project very interesting and we’re excited to work on its design due to the client’s lavish requirements yet practical requirements.

Idea

The idea behind scheming the interior of the house is totally client modern & luxurious demands. We have to make a house grand yet simple. The area was small so we came up with the minimalist interior idea, highlighting the style and comfort of the client.

Challenges

There were a few challenges faced while designing this place. The existing size of the rooms was small and the requirements were much greater. We had to replan the entire layout to get the desired results. The house was getting connected from a staircase and a lift which was almost outside the house. The overall connection of the spaces was re-established and recreated. A few spaces like the pooja room, the garden had to be recreated to meet the demands of the client.

Design Process

The interior design of the residence is modern & luxurious. As the covered area of the place was small, we had to demolish many walls to increase the area. We even designed a few rooms to increase the functionality of the area.

The house has 4 floors including the ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, and a basement. Each floor has different rooms catering to different usage- the ground floor cover up the lobby, kitchen, dining room, and living room; the first floor has one master bedroom, Pooja area, and mother’s room; and lastly, on the second floor, we have designed one more master bedroom and kid’s room along with the terrace. The basement has a bar and lounge area attached to the bedroom. We have to avoid the use of bulky elements so that the space doesn’t look overcrowded. So, we came up with a minimalist interior that makes the space look huge and clear. Apart from room size, the walls are paneled in a way that makes the walls more attractive and catches the attention of the eyes.

We focused on keeping everything minimalist and colorful to engage the attention of everyone. Each room follows up the different color contrasts. One room has a brown-beige-white color combination on wall panels as well as on furniture. Stone cladding on the wall enhances the feel of the space. The master bedroom has a subtle color theme and light furniture. The mother’s room has an alternative rhythm followed in the color pattern of the wall and furniture.

We have designed the kid’s room with multi-colors that makes the room look playful. We focused on minute things that create a joyful room like bedside tables having smiley faces, walls having stary wallpapers, and colorful molding designs.

The living room and dining area are attached together. The combination of white-grey and brown color schemes creates a soothing aura. The marble panel in the living room adds grace to the wall and the drawers attached to that wall, and the grey-white colored furniture complements the marble panel. Even the wall panels in the dining area have metalwork to make the space look huge. The sea-green color modern chairs admire the golden panel wall in the dining area.

The basement has been designed like a man’s cave having a luxurious bar and a lounge attached to a bedroom. The ceiling has metallic designs and a bar area with a raw minimalist interior using funky colors and a bar hanger that catches the eye. The bedroom and living room are partitioned by a hanging wooden panel in between and the panel has a rotating T.V unit shared by both the rooms; hence utilizing the minimum space. The perfect place to enjoy parties and outings with friends.

This residence has unique and iconic elements of architecture and interior design
